Kingdom Invitation // Choose the Narrow Gate

Nov 2, 2025    Wade Bishop

The sermon explored Jesus' teaching about the two gates and two paths in Matthew 7:12-14, challenging us to actively choose the narrow gate that leads to life rather than the wide gate that leads to destruction. Like Robert Frost's famous poem about taking "the road less traveled by," Jesus calls us to a path that is difficult, unpopular, and costly - but it makes all the eternal difference. This teaching has profound implications for our spiritual life: it demands daily self-examination, requires us to love others by pointing them to truth (not affirming their destructive choices), and compels us to live with urgency because eternity hangs in the balance for those around us.
