5TH SUNDAY - The Church That GOs!!

Jun 29, 2025    Wade Bishop

Our sermon explored the parable of the lost sheep from Luke 15:1-7, emphasizing our church's core value of "Making Room" for everyone. We discussed how Jesus welcomes sinners and tax collectors, challenging us to do the same. The message highlighted our call to actively seek the lost, prioritize the Great Commission, and celebrate every step towards discipleship without compromising the gospel.

Takeaways:

We are called to make room for everyone, even those we might find difficult to welcome. This means being gracious, grateful, generous, and gentle with those coming to Christ.

As a church, we must choose to "go" after the lost, even when it's uncomfortable or costly. This may require sacrificing time, money, energy, and personal preferences

We should celebrate every person who comes to Christ without compromising the truth of the gospel. Our priority is making disciples of Jesus, not just growing our church.

As we move forward, let's consider how we can apply these principles in our daily lives. How can we make room for others, actively seek those who are far from God, and celebrate spiritual growth without wavering in our commitment to the gospel?
