Cross to Crown: Your Denials don't have to be Definitive

Apr 13, 2025    Wade Bishop

Today, we explored Peter's denial of Jesus, as recorded in Mark 14:41-72. We examined how denial can be devastating, BUT it doesn't have to define our relationship with Christ. Even though we all have moments of weakness, like Peter, our response to these failures is crucial. We were reminded that Jesus' sacrifice covers our sins and offers us a path to redemption and renewed devotion.

Takeaways:

We are more like Peter than we often admit. Denying Jesus can take many forms in our daily lives, from our attitudes to our actions.

Our "rooster crowing" moments (times when we realize we've failed Jesus) should lead us to repentance and a deeper reliance on God's grace.

Our lives should be characterized more by our devotion to Jesus than by our moments of denial. We're called to let our faith be evident to those around us.
